How Jewish is Messianic Judaism?Shalom,
People often state to me that Messianic Judaism is a form of Christianity. The reality could not be any further from the truth. The New Covenant scriptures are not only Jewish, but they are written by Jews, about Jews, and mostly for Jews. "How can this be Jewish?" is a question that I hear often from Jewish people who refuse to listen to The Good News of Yeshua Messianic Judaism (MJ) is not a sect of Christianity. MJ has been ordained by G-D long before Rabbinical and Chasiddic Judaism. I would like to suggest that MJ does not only have a place to operate as a distinct entity within Judaism, but is also G-D mandated and ordained according to the words and lifestyle of Yeshua, Rabbi Shaul and some of the other writers of the B'rit Chadasha. Messianic Judaism is called not only to be within Judaism, but to be set-apart and to be holy in order to bring forward the light of Messiah. S'hmot 19 states: "Now therefore, if ye will hearken unto My voice indeed, and keep My covenant, then ye shall be Mine own treasure from among all peoples; for all the earth is Mine; and ye shall be unto Me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel." Messianic Judaism is a form of Judaism based on these:
